Boarding

The board says boarding.

It has said boarding for about seven minutes. The queue has not moved in the last four of those minutes.

You are holding your phone and your boarding pass and your passport and something about the way you are holding all three is not quite right but you have not adjusted it.

The queue moves one person. Then stops.

The man ahead has a large backpack resting against your arm slightly. He has not noticed. You have not moved.

The gate agent is looking at a screen. The screen appears to require looking at for a sustained amount of time.

Your hand that is holding the passport is slightly too warm.

The queue moves.
